MACADAMIA NUT BANANA BREAD

Try this banana bread served warm with a generous dollop of macadamia butter. Paired together these family favorites will tantalize your taste buds and keep your hearts warm on those cold winter days!!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3  cup salted butter, melted
  • 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup macadamia nuts, chopped

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, line a loaf pan with baking paper and set aside
  2. Using an electric hand mixer, beat together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy, then add in the bananas, vanilla and eggs, and mix until fully combined
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon
  4. Then slowly add the dry ingredients into the banana mixture, mixing until fully combined 
  5. Fold in the macadamia nuts
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
  7. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into slices
