MACADAMIA NUT BANANA BREAD
Try this banana bread served warm with a generous dollop of macadamia butter. Paired together these family favorites will tantalize your taste buds and keep your hearts warm on those cold winter days!!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup salted butter, melted
- 3 medium ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup macadamia nuts, chopped
METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, line a loaf pan with baking paper and set aside
- Using an electric hand mixer, beat together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy, then add in the bananas, vanilla and eggs, and mix until fully combined
- In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon
- Then slowly add the dry ingredients into the banana mixture, mixing until fully combined
- Fold in the macadamia nuts
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
- Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into slices
